A Day Out With Thomas

Today, Addie, Justin, and I ventured to the "Island of Sodor"! For those of you who might be unfamiliar with what I am talking about, that is the fictitious island where the Thomas the Train series is set. Sam's Shortline in Cordele, was made over this weekend to all things Thomas! Addie has really enjoyed Thomas for the past 6 months or so, and when we saw the ad on PBS for this event, we KNEW we had to be there!! We got her up early this morning and made the short trip south. We told her while putting on her shoes, and she squealed in delight! Every car we passed on the way, she told them she was going to Thomas' house!

Taking a moment to "cheese" with Daddy. She was a bit intimidated by all the people; I think she expected it to be just her and Thomas!

Smiling with Mommy! She did so good waiting in line! No whining or crying; she did better than some five year olds that were around!

They had Thomas songs playing while we rode and she would sing along.

This nice man across from us took this family picture of us. I just love Addie's expression - she is still so skeptical of strangers. I guess that's a good thing!

After the train ride, we stopped off at Tidmouth Sheds.
