The Nutcracker

Since our last girls' night went so well, Gretchen and I decided to take the girls to the Nutcracker. We started our evening off at a Mexican restaurant getting our fill of queso dip...this time I brought a big t-shirt for Addie to wear so her pretty dress wouldn't get messed up! Lessons learned!
The Nutcracker was at the Grand Opera House downtown, and the girls were very excited to see the beautiful building, and they really enjoyed being dressed up in their pretty Christmas outfits. Our seats were just one back from the balcony; we could see everything - perfect!

Sneaking a picture with my baby girl.

What a pretty smile!

Posing in front of the big Christmas tree.

I was so incredibly proud of Addie. She sat through the entire 2 hour show without any major problems. In fact, she was so enthralled with all of the dancers and made some of the cutest remarks. She would occasionally stand up in front of her seat and try to dance. The ladies sitting behind us remarked how well both of the girls behaved and said that Addie needed to be up on stage dancing. Perhaps Addie can fulfill her mother's dream of becoming a ballerina...only time will tell. All in all, we had a great time, and I loved spending time with my little girl and our friends! Here's to many more mommy-daughter outings!

That must have been fun! Of course Addie can be a ballerina! A drummer first, of course, but always room for other activities! lol!
